Kidzone!
KidZone
is our morning children's program for kids from
infant through 6th grade. There are three groups:
KidZone 024 (ages 0 to 4), KidZone K23 (ages
Kindergarten to 3rd grade) and KidZone 426 (ages
4th to 6th grade). Our KidZone groups allow
parents an opportunity to come to church, relax,
and know that your child is learning about God
while having fun.
For
children ages newborn to 4, "KidZone 024"
runs in the Tree House Room, a brightly colored
and fun room run by caring and dedicated workers
during the entire worship service. If you want,
your child can be part of the Bible lesson in
the KidZone K23 class that begins just before
the morning message during the worship service.
With your permission, our workers will take your
child to the KidZone K23 room and bring them back
to the Tree House Room just before the end of
the worship service.
For
children Kindergarten through 3rd grade, "KidZone
K23" offers friendships, snacks, fun and
a great Bible lesson.
Middle School Policy
We recognize that many families are new to
"doing church" and have junior high age children
not ready to sit through the entire worship
service. KidZone is aimed at
children up to and including sixth grade.
With this in mind:
1. We have a great class for Junior and
Senior Highs at 9 am.
In order to help middle schoolers
transition into our main worship service we
suggest:
6th graders are free to attend KidZone every
week or stay in the worship service.
On the first Sunday of each month we have
TeenZone for 7-9th graders during the
sermon. A great way to meet other
teens!
We leave it up
to the parents to help us in transitioning
your children into the congregational
worship life of our church. We know
that many churches offer separate Junior and
Senior High worship services but we feel
this is counter to the multi-generational
worship of Scripture and is often geared
toward entertainment and not worship.
The end result is a high drop out from
church of youth once they finish High
School. Instead of introducing the
idea that the main worship service isn't for
teens, we prefer to plan our worship
services with every age in mind, especially
teens.
2. All teens are encouraged to be involved
in the ministries of our church, especially
KidZone. Get involved. Don't just
sit, SERVE! Talk to a leader about how you
can be involved in our children's ministries,
worship ministries and everything else we do.
