Our identity in Christ:

- do you own what you have or does it own you?

- do you have worth because of Christ or because of what you have?

- do you seek status through possessions or stability in Christ?

1.  The Profit/Loss Column.

Matthew 16:26 “What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?”

2.  The Net Worth/Depreciation Statement.

            Ephesians 2:10 “we are God’s workmanship”

1 Peter 2:9 “you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God”

3.  The Balance Sheet

            Romans 8:31 “If God is for us, who can be against us”

2 Corinthians 1:20-22 “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ… He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”

I will:

- be a lover of people and a user of things.

- write a letter to God, thanking him for everything he has done for me.

- ask myself, “who am I?” and “how does God see me?”
