What is pride?

     Pride is best defined by the word SELF.

                 Isaiah 5:20 

 

Genesis 3:1-13

 

 

Pride consumes our lives when we become:

 

1. Self-RELIANT (3:1-3)

 

2. Self-ABSORBED (3:4-5)

 

3. Self-FULFILLED (3:6-7)

       1 John 2:15-17

        Isaiah 14:12-14

        Ezekiel 28:6,12-17

 

4. Self-RIGHTEOUS (3:8-13)

 

  Christ hates pride!

 

            Philippians 2:3-8

            Genesis 14,15

 

Is God your EVERYTHING?

 

Have you trusted Him COMPLETELY?
